The Freedom of the Will This book contains a detailed inquiry into the prevailing theory regarding the freedom of the will and human determinism.  First published in 1754. This is probably one of the most important theological works ever published in America.  Edwards refutes the false doctrine that says, "Human beings have the ability to be righteous and thus saved by the exercise of their own free will."  This book in Hardcover was last selling for $27.95 at Amazon.com and has 348 pages, but is included, in its entirety on the BBB-CD. Jonathan Edwards
Religious Affections Jonathan Edwards, the central figure in New England's first Great Awakening, offers here his most detailed description of the signs--true and false--of revival, while highlighting the role truly balanced emotions play within the Christian life. He takes a long, hard look at the evidence of true conversion--the fruit that comes from living like Christ. It is not enough to do "Christian" things--for without an authentic, selfless service motivated by the Holy Spirit, our works are empty.

This work in published form is a book of 515 pages (only 378 pages are actually Edwards' text which is included here) and had retailed for $16.99 at Amazon.com and was discounted to $11.55 (plus shipping). It is yours as part of the BBB-CD.

But as the influences of the true Spirit abounded, so counterfeits did also abound: the devil was abundant in mimicking, both the ordinary and extraordinary influences of the Spirit of God, as is manifest by innumerable passages of the apostles’ writings. This made it very necessary that the church of Christ should be furnished with some certain rules, distinguishing and clear marks, by which she might proceed safely in judging of the true from the false without danger of being imposed upon." [1 John 4:1]
