                               GREED

PSA 10:3  He boasts of the cravings of his heart; he blesses the 
greedy and reviles the LORD.

PSA 119:36  Turn my heart toward your statutes and not toward 
selfish gain.

PRO 15:27  A greedy man brings trouble to his family, but he who 
hates bribes will live.

PRO 18:1  An unfriendly man pursues selfish ends; he defies all 
sound judgment.

PRO 23:6  Do not eat the food of a stingy man, do not crave his 
delicacies;

PRO 28:22  A stingy man is eager to get rich and is unaware that 
poverty awaits him.

PRO 28:25  A greedy man stirs up dissension, but he who trusts in 
the LORD will prosper.

PRO 29:4  By justice a king gives a country stability, but one 
who is greedy for bribes tears it down.

ISA 57:17  I was enraged by his sinful greed; I punished him, and 
hid my face in anger, yet he kept on in his willful ways.

JER 6:13  "From the least to the greatest, all are greedy for 
gain; prophets and priests alike, all practice deceit.

JER 8:10  Therefore I will give their wives to other men and 
their fields to new owners. From the least to the greatest, all 
are greedy for gain; prophets and priests alike, all practice 
deceit.

EZE 16:27  So I stretched out my hand against you and reduced 
your territory; I gave you over to the greed of your enemies, the 
daughters of the Philistines, who were shocked by your lewd 
conduct.

EZE 33:31  My people come to you, as they usually do, and sit 
before you to listen to your words, but they do not put them into 
practice. With their mouths they express devotion, but their 
hearts are greedy for unjust gain.

HAB 2:5  indeed, wine betrays him; he is arrogant and never at

MAT 23:25  "Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you

they are full of greed and self-indulgence.

LUK 11:39  Then the Lord said to him, "Now then, you Pharisees 
clean the outside of the cup and dish, but inside you are full of 
greed and wickedness.

against all kinds of greed; a man's life does not consist in the 
abundance of his possessions."

ROM 1:29  They have become filled with every kind of wickedness, 
evil, greed and depravity. They are full of envy, murder, strife,

ROM 7:8  But sin, seizing the opportunity afforded by the 
commandment, produced in me every kind of covetous desire.

1CO 5:10  not at all meaning the people of this world who are 
immoral, or the greedy and swindlers, or idolaters. In that case

1CO 5:11  But now I am writing you that you must not associate 
with anyone who calls himself a brother but is sexually immoral 
or greedy, an idolater or a slanderer, a drunkard or a swindler. 
With such a man do not even eat.

serving as overseers--not because you must, but because you are 
willing, as God wants you to be; not greedy for money, but eager 
to serve;

2PE 2:3  In their greed these teachers will exploit you with 
stories they have made up. Their condemnation has long been 
hanging over them, and their destruction has not been sleeping.

2PE 2:14  With eyes full of adultery, they never stop sinning; 
they seduce the unstable; they are experts in greed--an accursed 
brood!
