JUDGMENT

GEN 4:7  If you do what is right, will you not be accepted? But if you do 
not do what is right, sin is crouching at your door; it desires to have 
you, but you must master it."

1CH 16:33  Then the trees of the forest will sing, they will sing for joy 
before the LORD, for he comes to judge the earth.

JOB 14:17  My offenses will be sealed up in a bag; you will cover over my 
sin.

21:30  that the evil man is spared from the day of calamity, that he is 
delivered from the day of wrath?

31:13  "If I have denied justice to my menservants and maidservants when 
they had a grievance against me,

14  what will I do when God confronts me? What will I answer when called to

PRO 11:31  If the righteous receive their due on earth, how much more the 
ungodly and the sinner!

12:14  From the fruit of his lips a man is filled with good things as 
surely as the work of his hands rewards him.

24:11  Rescue those being led away to death; hold back those staggering 
toward slaughter.

12  If you say, "But we knew nothing about this," does not he who weighs 
the heart perceive it? Does not he who guards your life know it? Will he 
not repay each person according to what he has done?

ECC 3:17  I thought in my heart, "God will bring to judgment both the 
righteous and the wicked, for there will be a time for every activity, a 
time for every deed."

11:9  Be happy, young man, while you are young, and let your heart give you 
joy in the days of your youth. Follow the ways of your heart and whatever 
your eyes see, but know that for all these things God will bring you to 
judgment.

12:14  For God will bring every deed into judgment, including every hidden 
thing, whether it is good or evil.

ISA 3:10  Tell the righteous it will be well with them, for they will enjoy 
the fruit of their deeds.

11  Woe to the wicked! Disaster is upon them! They will be paid back for 
what their hands have done.

5:15  So man will be brought low and mankind humbled, the eyes of the 
arrogant humbled.

16  But the LORD Almighty will be exalted by his justice, and the holy God 
will show himself holy by his righteousness.

24:2  it will be the same for priest as for people, for master as for 
servant, for mistress as for maid, for seller as for buyer, for borrower as 
for lender, for debtor as for creditor.

59:18  According to what they have done, so will he repay wrath to his 
enemies and retribution to his foes; he will repay the islands their due.

JER 17:10  "I the LORD search the heart and examine the mind, to reward a 
man according to his conduct, according to what his deeds deserve."

11  Like a partridge that hatches eggs it did not lay is the man who gains 
riches by unjust means. When his life is half gone, they will desert him, 
and in the end he will prove to be a fool.

32:19  great are your purposes and mighty are your deeds. Your eyes are 
open to all the ways of men; you reward everyone according to his conduct 
and as his deeds deserve.

EZE 7:3  The end is now upon you and I will unleash my anger against you. I 
will judge you according to your conduct and repay you for all your 
detestable practices.

4  I will not look on you with pity or spare you; I will surely repay you 
for your conduct and the detestable practices among you. Then you will know 
that I am the LORD.

27  The king will mourn, the prince will be clothed with despair, and the 
hands of the people of the land will tremble. I will deal with them 
according to their conduct, and by their own standards I will judge them. 
Then they will know that I am the LORD."

9:4  and said to him, "Go throughout the city of Jerusalem and put a mark 
on the foreheads of those who grieve and lament over all the detestable 
things that are done in it."

5  As I listened, he said to the others, "Follow him through the city and 
kill, without showing pity or compassion.

6  Slaughter old men, young men and maidens, women and children, but do not 
touch anyone who has the mark. Begin at my sanctuary." So they began with 
the elders who were in front of the temple.

16:59  "'This is what the Sovereign LORD says: I will deal with you as you 
deserve, because you have despised my oath by breaking the covenant.

18:4  For every living soul belongs to me, the father as well as the son--
both alike belong to me. The soul who sins is the one who will die.

19  "Yet you ask, 'Why does the son not share the guilt of his father?' 
Since the son has done what is just and right and has been careful to keep 
all my decrees, he will surely live.

20  The soul who sins is the one who will die. The son will not share the 
guilt of the father, nor will the father share the guilt of the son. The 
righteousness of the righteous man will be credited to him, and the 
wickedness of the wicked will be charged against him.

21  "But if a wicked man turns away from all the sins he has committed and 
keeps all my decrees and does what is just and right, he will surely live; 
he will not die.

22  None of the offenses he has committed will be remembered against him. 
Because of the righteous things he has done, he will live.

23  Do I take any pleasure in the death of the wicked? declares the 
Sovereign LORD. Rather, am I not pleased when they turn from their ways and 
live?

24  "But if a righteous man turns from his righteousness and commits sin 
and does the same detestable things the wicked man does, will he live? None 
of the righteous things he has done will be remembered. Because of the 
unfaithfulness he is guilty of and because of the sins he has committed, he 
will die.

25  "Yet you say, 'The way of the Lord is not just.' Hear, O house of 
Israel: Is my way unjust? Is it not your ways that are unjust?

26  If a righteous man turns from his righteousness and commits sin, he 
will die for it; because of the sin he has committed he will die.

27  But if a wicked man turns away from the wickedness he has committed and 
does what is just and right, he will save his life.

28  Because he considers all the offenses he has committed and turns away 
from them, he will surely live; he will not die.

29  Yet the house of Israel says, 'The way of the Lord is not just.' Are my 
ways unjust, O house of Israel? Is it not your ways that are unjust?

30  "Therefore, O house of Israel, I will judge you, each one according to 
his ways, declares the Sovereign LORD. Repent! Turn away from all your 
offenses; then sin will not be your downfall.

31  Rid yourselves of all the offenses you have committed, and get a new 
heart and a new spirit. Why will you die, O house of Israel?

32  For I take no pleasure in the death of anyone, declares the Sovereign 
LORD. Repent and live!

33:18  If a righteous man turns from his righteousness and does evil, he 
will die for it.

19  And if a wicked man turns away from his wickedness and does what is 
just and right, he will live by doing so.

20  Yet, O house of Israel, you say, 'The way of the Lord is not just.' But 
I will judge each of you according to his own ways."

39:24  I dealt with them according to their uncleanness and their offenses, 
and I hid my face from them.

DAN 7:9  "As I looked, "thrones were set in place, and the Ancient of Days 
took his seat. His clothing was as white as snow; the hair of his head was 
white like wool. His throne was flaming with fire, and its wheels were all 
ablaze.

10  A river of fire was flowing, coming out from before him. Thousands upon 
thousands attended him; ten thousand times ten thousand stood before him. 
The court was seated, and the books were opened.

HOS 4:9  And it will be: Like people, like priests. I will punish both of 
them for their ways and repay them for their deeds.

AMO 3:2  "You only have I chosen of all the families of the earth; 
therefore I will punish you for all your sins."

4:12  "Therefore this is what I will do to you, Israel, and because I will 
do this to you, prepare to meet your God, O Israel."

ZEC 1:6  But did not my words and my decrees, which I commanded my servants 
the prophets, overtake your forefathers? "Then they repented and said, 'The 
LORD Almighty has done to us what our ways and practices deserve, just as 
he determined to do.'"

MAT 3:12  His winnowing fork is in his hand, and he will clear his 
threshing floor, gathering his wheat into the barn and burning up the chaff 
with unquenchable fire."

7:22  Many will say to me on that day, 'Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in 
your name, and in your name drive out demons and perform many miracles?'

23  Then I will tell them plainly, 'I never knew you. Away from me, you 
evildoers!'

8:29  "What do you want with us, Son of God?" they shouted. "Have you come 
here to torture us before the appointed time?"

10:14  If anyone will not welcome you or listen to your words, shake the 
dust off your feet when you leave that home or town.

15  I tell you the truth, it will be more bearable for Sodom and Gomorrah 
on the day of judgment than for that town.

11:22  But I tell you, it will be more bearable for Tyre and Sidon on the 
day of judgment than for you.

12:36  But I tell you that men will have to give account on the day of 
judgment for every careless word they have spoken.

37  For by your words you will be acquitted, and by your words you will be 
condemned."

41  The men of Nineveh will stand up at the judgment with this generation 
and condemn it; for they repented at the preaching of Jonah, and now one 
greater than Jonah is here.

42  The Queen of the South will rise at the judgment with this generation 
and condemn it; for she came from the ends of the earth to listen to 
Solomon's wisdom, and now one greater than Solomon is here.

13:30  Let both grow together until the harvest. At that time I will tell 
the harvesters: First collect the weeds and tie them in bundles to be 
burned; then gather the wheat and bring it into my barn.'"

40  "As the weeds are pulled up and burned in the fire, so it will be at 
the end of the age.

41  The Son of Man will send out his angels, and they will weed out of his 
kingdom everything that causes sin and all who do evil.

42  They will throw them into the fiery furnace, where there will be 
weeping and gnashing of teeth.

43  Then the righteous will shine like the sun in the kingdom of their 
Father. He who has ears, let him hear.

49  This is how it will be at the end of the age. The angels will come and 
separate the wicked from the righteous

50  and throw them into the fiery furnace, where there will be weeping and 
gnashing of teeth.

16:27  For the Son of Man is going to come in his Father's glory with his 
angels, and then he will reward each person according to what he has done.

22:13  "Then the king told the attendants, 'Tie him hand and foot, and 
throw him outside, into the darkness, where there will be weeping and 
gnashing of teeth.'

25:1  "At that time the kingdom of heaven will be like ten virgins who took 
their lamps and went out to meet the bridegroom.

2  Five of them were foolish and five were wise.

3  The foolish ones took their lamps but did not take any oil with them.

4  The wise, however, took oil in jars along with their lamps.

5  The bridegroom was a long time in coming, and they all became drowsy and 
fell asleep.

6  "At midnight the cry rang out: 'Here's the bridegroom! Come out to meet 
him!'

7  "Then all the virgins woke up and trimmed their lamps.

8  The foolish ones said to the wise, 'Give us some of your oil; our lamps 
are going out.'

9  "'No,' they replied, 'there may not be enough for both us and you. 
Instead, go to those who sell oil and buy some for yourselves.'

10  "But while they were on their way to buy the oil, the bridegroom 
arrived. The virgins who were ready went in with him to the wedding 
banquet. And the door was shut.

11  "Later the others also came. 'Sir! Sir!' they said. 'Open the door for 
us!'

12  "But he replied, 'I tell you the truth, I don't know you.'

13  "Therefore keep watch, because you do not know the day or the hour.

14  "Again, it will be like a man going on a journey, who called his 
servants and entrusted his property to them.

15  To one he gave five talents of money, to another two talents, and to 
another one talent, each according to his ability. Then he went on his 
journey.

16  The man who had received the five talents went at once and put his 
money to work and gained five more.

17  So also, the one with the two talents gained two more.

18  But the man who had received the one talent went off, dug a hole in the 
ground and hid his master's money.

19  "After a long time the master of those servants returned and settled 
accounts with them.

20  The man who had received the five talents brought the other five. 
'Master,' he said, 'you entrusted me with five talents. See, I have gained 
five more.'

21  "His master replied, 'Well done, good and faithful servant! You have 
been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. 
Come and share your master's happiness!'

22  "The man with the two talents also came. 'Master,' he said, 'you 
entrusted me with two talents; see, I have gained two more.'

23  "His master replied, 'Well done, good and faithful servant! You have 
been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. 
Come and share your master's happiness!'

24  "Then the man who had received the one talent came. 'Master,' he said, 
'I knew that you are a hard man, harvesting where you have not sown and 
gathering where you have not scattered seed.

25  So I was afraid and went out and hid your talent in the ground. See, 
here is what belongs to you.'

26  "His master replied, 'You wicked, lazy servant! So you knew that I 
harvest where I have not sown and gather where I have not scattered seed?

27  Well then, you should have put my money on deposit with the bankers, so 
that when I returned I would have received it back with interest.

28  "'Take the talent from him and give it to the one who has the ten 
talents.

29  For everyone who has will be given more, and he will have an abundance. 
Whoever does not have, even what he has will be taken from him.

30  And throw that worthless servant outside, into the darkness, where 
there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.'

31  "When the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, 
he will sit on his throne in heavenly glory.

32  All the nations will be gathered before him, and he will separate the 
people one from another as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats.

33  He will put the sheep on his right and the goats on his left.

34  "Then the King will say to those on his right, 'Come, you who are 
blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you 
since the creation of the world.

35  For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and 
you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in,

36  I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after 
me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.'

37  "Then the righteous will answer him, 'Lord, when did we see you hungry 
and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink?

38  When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes 
and clothe you?

39  When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?'

40  "The King will reply, 'I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one 
of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me.'

41  "Then he will say to those on his left, 'Depart from me, you who are 
cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels.

42  For I was hungry and you gave me nothing to eat, I was thirsty and you 
gave me nothing to drink,

43  I was a stranger and you did not invite me in, I needed clothes and you 
did not clothe me, I was sick and in prison and you did not look after me.'

44  "They also will answer, 'Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty or 
a stranger or needing clothes or sick or in prison, and did not help you?'

45  "He will reply, 'I tell you the truth, whatever you did not do for one 
of the least of these, you did not do for me.'

46  "Then they will go away to eternal punishment, but the righteous to 
eternal life."

MAR 4:22  For whatever is hidden is meant to be disclosed, and whatever is 
concealed is meant to be brought out into the open.

13:32  "No one knows about that day or hour, not even the angels in heaven, 
nor the Son, but only the Father.

14:21  The Son of Man will go just as it is written about him. But woe to 
that man who betrays the Son of Man! It would be better for him if he had 
not been born."

LUK 10:10  But when you enter a town and are not welcomed, go into its 
streets and say,

11  'Even the dust of your town that sticks to our feet we wipe off against 
you. Yet be sure of this: The kingdom of God is near.'

12  I tell you, it will be more bearable on that day for Sodom than for 
that town.

13  "Woe to you, Korazin! Woe to you, Bethsaida! For if the miracles that 
were performed in you had been performed in Tyre and Sidon, they would have 
repented long ago, sitting in sackcloth and ashes.

14  But it will be more bearable for Tyre and Sidon at the judgment than 
for you.

11:49  Because of this, God in his wisdom said, 'I will send them prophets 
and apostles, some of whom they will kill and others they will persecute.'

50  Therefore this generation will be held responsible for the blood of all 
the prophets that has been shed since the beginning of the world,

12:2  There is nothing concealed that will not be disclosed, or hidden that 
will not be made known.

3  What you have said in the dark will be heard in the daylight, and what 
you have whispered in the ear in the inner rooms will be proclaimed from 
the roofs.

4  "I tell you, my friends, do not be afraid of those who kill the body and 
after that can do no more.

5  But I will show you whom you should fear: Fear him who, after the 
killing of the body, has power to throw you into hell. Yes, I tell you, 
fear him.

47  "That servant who knows his master's will and does not get ready or 
does not do what his master wants will be beaten with many blows.

48  But the one who does not know and does things deserving punishment will 
be beaten with few blows. From everyone who has been given much, much will 
be demanded; and from the one who has been entrusted with much, much more 
will be asked.

13:6  Then he told this parable: "A man had a fig tree, planted in his 
vineyard, and he went to look for fruit on it, but did not find any.

7  So he said to the man who took care of the vineyard, 'For three years 
now I've been coming to look for fruit on this fig tree and haven't found 
any. Cut it down! Why should it use up the soil?'

8  "'Sir,' the man replied, 'leave it alone for one more year, and I'll dig 
around it and fertilize it.

9  If it bears fruit next year, fine! If not, then cut it down.'"

24  "Make every effort to enter through the narrow door, because many, I 
tell you, will try to enter and will not be able to.

25  Once the owner of the house gets up and closes the door, you will stand 
outside knocking and pleading, 'Sir, open the door for us.' "But he will 
answer, 'I don't know you or where you come from.'

26  "Then you will say, 'We ate and drank with you, and you taught in our 
streets.'

27  "But he will reply, 'I don't know you or where you come from. Away from 
me, all you evildoers!'

28  "There will be weeping there, and gnashing of teeth, when you see 
Abraham, Isaac and Jacob and all the prophets in the kingdom of God, but 
you yourselves thrown out.

29  People will come from east and west and north and south, and will take 
their places at the feast in the kingdom of God.

19:12  He said: "A man of noble birth went to a distant country to have 
himself appointed king and then to return.

13  So he called ten of his servants and gave them ten minas. 'Put this 
money to work,' he said, 'until I come back.'

14  "But his subjects hated him and sent a delegation after him to say, 'We 
don't want this man to be our king.'

15  "He was made king, however, and returned home. Then he sent for the 
servants to whom he had given the money, in order to find out what they had 
gained with it.

16  "The first one came and said, 'Sir, your mina has earned ten more.'

17  "'Well done, my good servant!' his master replied. 'Because you have 
been trustworthy in a very small matter, take charge of ten cities.'

18  "The second came and said, 'Sir, your mina has earned five more.'

19  "His master answered, 'You take charge of five cities.'

20  "Then another servant came and said, 'Sir, here is your mina; I have 
kept it laid away in a piece of cloth.

21  I was afraid of you, because you are a hard man. You take out what you 
did not put in and reap what you did not sow.'

22  "His master replied, 'I will judge you by your own words, you wicked 
servant! You knew, did you, that I am a hard man, taking out what I did not 
put in, and reaping what I did not sow?

23  Why then didn't you put my money on deposit, so that when I came back, 
I could have collected it with interest?'

24  "Then he said to those standing by, 'Take his mina away from him and 
give it to the one who has ten minas.'

25  "'Sir,' they said, 'he already has ten!'

26  "He replied, 'I tell you that to everyone who has, more will be given, 
but as for the one who has nothing, even what he has will be taken away.

27  But those enemies of mine who did not want me to be king over them--
bring them here and kill them in front of me.'"

20:45  While all the people were listening, Jesus said to his disciples,

46  "Beware of the teachers of the law. They like to walk around in flowing 
robes and love to be greeted in the marketplaces and have the most 
important seats in the synagogues and the places of honor at banquets.

47  They devour widows' houses and for a show make lengthy prayers. Such 
men will be punished most severely."

21:1  As he looked up, Jesus saw the rich putting their gifts into the 
temple treasury.

2  He also saw a poor widow put in two very small copper coins.

3  "I tell you the truth," he said, "this poor widow has put in more than 
all the others.

4  All these people gave their gifts out of their wealth; but she out of 
her poverty put in all she had to live on."

JOH 3:19  This is the verdict: Light has come into the world, but men loved 
darkness instead of light because their deeds were evil.

20  Everyone who does evil hates the light, and will not come into the 
light for fear that his deeds will be exposed.

4:17  "I have no husband," she replied. Jesus said to her, "You are right 
when you say you have no husband.

5:22  Moreover, the Father judges no one, but has entrusted all judgment to 
the Son,

45  "But do not think I will accuse you before the Father. Your accuser is 
Moses, on whom your hopes are set.

9:41  Jesus said, "If you were blind, you would not be guilty of sin; but 
now that you claim you can see, your guilt remains.

12:48  There is a judge for the one who rejects me and does not accept my 
words; that very word which I spoke will condemn him at the last day.

15:22  If I had not come and spoken to them, they would not be guilty of 
sin. Now, however, they have no excuse for their sin.

24  If I had not done among them what no one else did, they would not be 
guilty of sin. But now they have seen these miracles, and yet they have 
hated both me and my Father.

ACT 2:19  I will show wonders in the heaven above and signs on the earth 
below, blood and fire and billows of smoke.

20  The sun will be turned to darkness and the moon to blood before the 
coming of the great and glorious day of the Lord.

21  And everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.'

10:42  He commanded us to preach to the people and to testify that he is 
the one whom God appointed as judge of the living and the dead.

17:31  For he has set a day when he will judge the world with justice by 
the man he has appointed. He has given proof of this to all men by raising 
him from the dead."

24:25  As Paul discoursed on righteousness, self-control and the judgment 
to come, Felix was afraid and said, "That's enough for now! You may leave. 
When I find it convenient, I will send for you."

ROM 2:5  But because of your stubbornness and your unrepentant heart, you 
are storing up wrath against yourself for the day of God's wrath, when his 
righteous judgment will be revealed.

6  God "will give to each person according to what he has done."

7  To those who by persistence in doing good seek glory, honor and 
immortality, he will give eternal life.

8  But for those who are self-seeking and who reject the truth and follow 
evil, there will be wrath and anger.

9  There will be trouble and distress for every human being who does evil: 
first for the Jew, then for the Gentile;

10  but glory, honor and peace for everyone who does good: first for the 
Jew, then for the Gentile.

12  All who sin apart from the law will also perish apart from the law, and 
all who sin under the law will be judged by the law.

13  For it is not those who hear the law who are righteous in God's sight, 
but it is those who obey the law who will be declared righteous.

14  (Indeed, when Gentiles, who do not have the law, do by nature things 
required by the law, they are a law for themselves, even though they do not 
have the law,

15  since they show that the requirements of the law are written on their 
hearts, their consciences also bearing witness, and their thoughts now 
accusing, now even defending them.)

16  This will take place on the day when God will judge men's secrets 
through Jesus Christ, as my gospel declares.

27  The one who is not circumcised physically and yet obeys the law will 
condemn you who, even though you have the written code and circumcision, 
are a lawbreaker.

14:10  You, then, why do you judge your brother? Or why do you look down on 
your brother? For we will all stand before God's judgment seat.

11  It is written: "'As surely as I live,' says the Lord, 'every knee will 
bow before me; every tongue will confess to God.'"

12  So then, each of us will give an account of himself to God.

1CO 3:8  The man who plants and the man who waters have one purpose, and 
each will be rewarded according to his own labor.

13  his work will be shown for what it is, because the Day will bring it to 
light. It will be revealed with fire, and the fire will test the quality of 
each man's work.

14  If what he has built survives, he will receive his reward.

15  If it is burned up, he will suffer loss; he himself will be saved, but 
only as one escaping through the flames.

4:5  Therefore judge nothing before the appointed time; wait till the Lord 
comes. He will bring to light what is hidden in darkness and will expose 
the motives of men's hearts. At that time each will receive his praise from 
God.

6:2  Do you not know that the saints will judge the world? And if you are 
to judge the world, are you not competent to judge trivial cases?

2CO 2:15  For we are to God the aroma of Christ among those who are being 
saved and those who are perishing.

16  To the one we are the smell of death; to the other, the fragrance of 
life. And who is equal to such a task?

5:10  For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, that each 
one may receive what is due him for the things done while in the body, 
whether good or bad.

11:15  It is not surprising, then, if his servants masquerade as servants 
of righteousness. Their end will be what their actions deserve.

GAL 6:5  for each one should carry his own load.

6  Anyone who receives instruction in the word must share all good things 
with his instructor.

7  Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows.

8  The one who sows to please his sinful nature, from that nature will reap 
destruction; the one who sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will 
reap eternal life.

9  Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will 
reap a harvest if we do not give up.

EPH 6:7  Serve wholeheartedly, as if you were serving the Lord, not men,

8  because you know that the Lord will reward everyone for whatever good he 
does, whether he is slave or free.

COL 3:25  Anyone who does wrong will be repaid for his wrong, and there is 
no favoritism.

2TH 1:7  and give relief to you who are troubled, and to us as well. This 
will happen when the Lord Jesus is revealed from heaven in blazing fire 
with his powerful angels.

8  He will punish those who do not know God and do not obey the gospel of 
our Lord Jesus.

1TI 1:13  Even though I was once a blasphemer and a persecutor and a 
violent man, I was shown mercy because I acted in ignorance and unbelief.

2TI 4:1  In the presence of God and of Christ Jesus, who will judge the 
living and the dead, and in view of his appearing and his kingdom, I give 
you this charge:

8  Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, 
the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day--and not only to me, but 
also to all who have longed for his appearing.

HEB 2:2  For if the message spoken by angels was binding, and every 
violation and disobedience received its just punishment,

3  how shall we escape if we ignore such a great salvation? This salvation, 
which was first announced by the Lord, was confirmed to us by those who 
heard him.

6:2  instruction about baptisms, the laying on of hands, the resurrection 
of the dead, and eternal judgment.

9:27  Just as man is destined to die once, and after that to face judgment,

10:26  If we deliberately keep on sinning after we have received the 
knowledge of the truth, no sacrifice for sins is left,

27  but only a fearful expectation of judgment and of raging fire that will 
consume the enemies of God.

28  Anyone who rejected the law of Moses died without mercy on the 
testimony of two or three witnesses.

29  How much more severely do you think a man deserves to be punished who 
has trampled the Son of God under foot, who has treated as an unholy thing 
the blood of the covenant that sanctified him, and who has insulted the 
Spirit of grace?

30  For we know him who said, "It is mine to avenge; I will repay," and 
again, "The Lord will judge his people."

12:25  See to it that you do not refuse him who speaks. If they did not 
escape when they refused him who warned them on earth, how much less will 
we, if we turn away from him who warns us from heaven?

JAM 2:12  Speak and act as those who are going to be judged by the law that 
gives freedom,

13  because judgment without mercy will be shown to anyone who has not been 
merciful. Mercy triumphs over judgment!

1PE 1:17  Since you call on a Father who judges each man's work 
impartially, live your lives as strangers here in reverent fear.

4:5  But they will have to give account to him who is ready to judge the 
living and the dead.

7  The end of all things is near. Therefore be clear minded and self-
controlled so that you can pray.

2PE 2:4  For if God did not spare angels when they sinned, but sent them to 
hell, putting them into gloomy dungeons to be held for judgment;

9  if this is so, then the Lord knows how to rescue godly men from trials 
and to hold the unrighteous for the day of judgment, while continuing their 
punishment.

20  If they have escaped the corruption of the world by knowing our Lord 
and Savior Jesus Christ and are again entangled in it and overcome, they 
are worse off at the end than they were at the beginning.

21  It would have been better for them not to have known the way of 
righteousness, than to have known it and then to turn their backs on the 
sacred command that was passed on to them.

3:7  By the same word the present heavens and earth are reserved for fire, 
being kept for the day of judgment and destruction of ungodly men.

10  But the day of the Lord will come like a thief. The heavens will 
disappear with a roar; the elements will be destroyed by fire, and the 
earth and everything in it will be laid bare.

11  Since everything will be destroyed in this way, what kind of people 
ought you to be? You ought to live holy and godly lives

12  as you look forward to the day of God and speed its coming. That day 
will bring about the destruction of the heavens by fire, and the elements 
will melt in the heat.

JUD 1:6  And the angels who did not keep their positions of authority but 
abandoned their own home--these he has kept in darkness, bound with 
everlasting chains for judgment on the great Day.

14  Enoch, the seventh from Adam, prophesied about these men: "See, the 
Lord is coming with thousands upon thousands of his holy ones

15  to judge everyone, and to convict all the ungodly of all the ungodly 
acts they have done in the ungodly way, and of all the harsh words ungodly 
sinners have spoken against him."

24  To him who is able to keep you from falling and to present you before 
his glorious presence without fault and with great joy--

REV 1:7  Look, he is coming with the clouds, and every eye will see him, 
even those who pierced him; and all the peoples of the earth will mourn 
because of him. So shall it be! Amen.

2:23  I will strike her children dead. Then all the churches will know that 
I am he who searches hearts and minds, and I will repay each of you 
according to your deeds.

6:15  Then the kings of the earth, the princes, the generals, the rich, the 
mighty, and every slave and every free man hid in caves and among the rocks 
of the mountains.

16  They called to the mountains and the rocks, "Fall on us and hide us 
from the face of him who sits on the throne and from the wrath of the Lamb!

17  For the great day of their wrath has come, and who can stand?"

11:18  The nations were angry; and your wrath has come. The time has come 
for judging the dead, and for rewarding your servants the prophets and your 
saints and those who reverence your name, both small and great--and for 
destroying those who destroy the earth."

20:11  Then I saw a great white throne and him who was seated on it. Earth 
and sky fled from his presence, and there was no place for them.

12  And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne, and 
books were opened. Another book was opened, which is the book of life. The 
dead were judged according to what they had done as recorded in the books.

13  The sea gave up the dead that were in it, and death and Hades gave up 
the dead that were in them, and each person was judged according to what he 
had done.

14  Then death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. The lake of 
fire is the second death.

15  If anyone's name was not found written in the book of life, he was 
thrown into the lake of fire.

22:12  "Behold, I am coming soon! My reward is with me, and I will give to 
everyone according to what he has done.
