I understand that idols don't have to be graven images, you know, that we're to bow down to, but can you help us understand what some [idols] could be in our lives now?

If an idol is nothing (and we agree that an idol is nothing—it’s nothing but stone or wood or, I mean there’s not anybody home there, really), and if an idol is nothing, and eating meat offered to an idol was okay because the idol was nothing (that’s exactly what it says in First Corinthians), why did the Jerusalem Council make the statement against doing such things?

The Bible is clear on the fact, that we should not use images of the Lord.  Why do we use pictures of Jesus to teach our children?

In Deuteronomy 5:8, when we’re given the ten commandments, it mentions, I’ll read the verse, “Thou shalt not make thee any graven image or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above or that is in the earth beneath or that is in the waters beneath the earth.” I was wondering what your feeling was on pictures of Jesus?

I got a question concerning the Ten Commandments. In Exodus 20:4 it says, “You shall not make for yourselves an idol or a likeness of what is in Heaven above or on earth beneath or in the water under the earth.” And there’s relatively the same kind of statement, of God speaking to Moses, concerning the children of Israel about their standards, everyday life, it relatively says the same thing. And then in Exodus 25:19 they're talking about making an Ark of the Covenant. And it says “And make one cherub at one end, and one cherub at the other end and you shall make a cherub in one piece in the mercy seat at its two ends.” Well I take it to be angels with wings, but it’s idols, it’s seems to clash. Can you clarify it?

I have read that Jesus has faith.  Now if He is Omniscient why would He need Faith?
