Magic

How do you discern between regular magician who does  acts of delusion and "Christian Magicians?" So I was wondering how we as Christians are supposed to discern that--whether it  is all delusion, or whether there is some real stuff, and how are we to  discern that?

Marriage [01]

"What does Paul mean when he says, "Those who have wives should be as though they had none."

Marriage [02]

"In the case of a Christian friend who is about to marry a nonbeliever, would you suggest attendance at the wedding ceremony as their friend?"

Marriage [03]

What is your opinion on mixed marriages, like different races getting married, Biblically?

Marriage [04]

What is the ultimate purpose of the premarital counseling at Grace Community Church?  Is the class meant to be purely instructional or to be a test for the man's or the woman's godliness?  Is it Biblical for the man to use the class as a test to see if they should be engaged?

Marriage [05]

What does the Bible teach about interracial marriages?

Marriage [06]

What does it mean to dwell with your wife with understanding?

Marriage [07]

Where did we get our marriage vows from? I mean you know this saying of the marriage vows when people get married, where did this come from? What the ministers use. You know “for better and for worse; in sickness and health.”

Marriage [08]

I was reading in Genesis and it’s kind of confusing to me that different people had more than one wife. Is it because they were in the Old Testament and weren’t in the New Testament yet? Did God allow it? Was it sin?

Marriage [09]

What were your thoughts and feelings when you were walking Marcy [John's Daughter] down the aisle as she was getting married?

Marriage [10]

If someone marries secretly, what is God’s view of their sex relationship?

Marriage [11]

What does a Christian wife do if her husband fails to be the authority for her to submit to?

Marriage [12]

Can Christians live together in one house in a communal situation?

Marriage [13]

Why did God allow polygamy in the Old Testament?

Marriage [14]

I was looking for this one scripture, and it’s either a certain scripture or some scriptural support to say a wife who takes herself from under the authority of her husband. And I remember reading that she opens herself up more to Satanic attack or to be more deceived, or something like that. Do you know what it was I am talking about?

Marriage [15]

How can you really make your marriage what it ought to be? How can you communicate in marriage? How can a wife really confront her husband ? How can a marriage be what it ought to be? If your husband does not fulfill your expectations as a spiritual leader, if your husband isn’t saved or your marriage isn’t what it ought to be, what do you do?

Marriage [16]

In Deuteronomy 25:9-10, what is the significance of "shoes loosed?"

Marriage [17]

Will God bless a believer who willfully marries an unbeliever?

Marriage [18] I am getting married in about seven months, and I wanted your own opinion on what makes a good Christian marriage? What makes it strong?
Marriage [19] I’d like to ask you about 1 Corinthian 7:14. I am an unequally yoked wife. And the Lord has blessed me because my three children have come to the Lord. And in this particular passage (I don’t want to read between lines), but it says here, “for the unbelieving husband is sanctified through his wife,” what does that exactly means in the context of my husband?
Marriage [20] My question is how does a Christian woman react and deal with being a battered wife? Is there a line to be drawn and what point since divorce is not an option, is there any options? How does she help protect the children from physical abuse? And last, but not least, how as a Christian friend can I help encourage?
Mary Magdalene My question comes from John chapter 12; it’s an easy yes or no answer. Is Mary Magdalene and Mary the sister of Martha and Lazarus one and the same?
Mentally Retarded

What is the status of a mentally retarded person, who has been mentally retarded from birth, or maybe made, what you would call a vegetable? Are they accountable to God for their sin? Why does God allow something like this?

Messiah [01]

"A lot of Jewish apologists object to the fact that Isaiah 53:9 says that 'The suffering servant has done no violence,' and Siegel (sp.) in his book brings this out, he says, 'How can Jesus Christ be the Messiah because verse 9, specifically says He has done "no violence" yet he went into the Temple and scourged the money changers or drove them out?'  Obviously, there was violence.  How do we answer that?"

Messiah [02]

I have two questions, both related. During the time of the crucifixion the Jews were looking for some kind of a "knight on a charging horse," who would come in and throw the Romans out and kill the Gentiles. But the priesthood, the Jewish priesthood, as opposed to the Jewish people were teaching the Jewish people this kind of thing, in other words, they weren't looking for a God! So my question to you is, "Were the Jews guilty of killing a God or killing a man?

Military

What do you think of Christians in the armed forces? Do you feel that it’s not wrong?

Millennial Kingdom [01]

This is in Zechariah; I want to know if this pertains to the millennial kingdom, and if it does, I have a question. Starting in chapter 14, verse 16, “Then the survivors from all the nations that have attacked Jerusalem will go up, year after year, to worship the King, the Lord Almighty, and to celebrate the feast of tabernacles…” There are other verses here, but I’ll just skip over, because it has to do with feast of tabernacles. In verse 19, “This will be the punishment of Egypt and the punishment of all the nations that do not go up to celebrate the feast of tabernacles.” If this is the millennial kingdom, why would they be celebrating this feast? “What time is this?” is what I’m basically asking.

Millennial Kingdom [02] In light of Hebrews 9, what is the purpose of the [millennial] sacrificial system in Ezekiel?
Millennial Kingdom [03] In our Bible study we were studying future things and proceeding the Millennium, will there be mortal believers? Will there be mortal believers at the end of the Millennium? It doesn’t really say if they’re translated to Heaven or perhaps would go into a mortal state "peopleling" this earth and that kind of thing.
Millennial Kingdom [04] My question is on amillenialism and premillennialism. I have studied Dr. McGee for so many years and I found out that I was more of a Baptist than I was a Christian, and I am a premillennialist. But the question is, when they refer to the Scripture, and for instance in the parables or in 2 Peter, forgetting Revelation a lot and then referring to Israel as the Church, reading that into it, then they go into the amillenialist. I guess maybe I just want to hear you talk a little about it.
Millennial Kingdom [05] In Discipleship Evangelism, we very frequently use the Isaiah 9:6 verse. How do you deal with a Jewish person when they say, “When did the government rest on His shoulders? When was He called, "Mighty God, Eternal Father, Prince of Peace?” Because the answer that I give is, well, he took the government on His shoulders when He died on the cross and Prince of Peace when He made peace between God and man. But, they won't settle for that answer. They say that it still has to happen and it is only partially fulfilled.
Millennial Kingdom [06] Why is there death in the Millennial Kingdom?
Millennial Kingdom [07] In regards to the Millennium. I’ve often been asked and I don’t know how to answer this question, when we’re raptured, from the time we’re raptured and we come back and we live in the Millennium, will we be living with our families like with our children, or what kind of change will take place?
Ministry [01]

"If a man is chosen, by God, for the Ministry, and later, has to step down because of some sort of moral indiscretion, will God ever restore this person to the Ministry?"

Ministry [02]

"One morning our minister told us that he had been having an affair with one of the women in the church.  My question is, Where can I find forgiveness for this?"

Ministry [03]

This is going to be a hypothetical question. Let’s say you had church A, church B, and church C. And let’s say you’re church C. And, let’s say that the pastor of church A falls, because he no longer fits the elder qualifications-let’s say it’s immorality. And, let’s say that pastor goes over to church B and they take him in and put him in a position of leadership, a shepherd. And, let’s say that you’ve previously had a working relationship with church B. That is to say, you’ve engaged in mutual ministry. Could you, church C, still maintain the same level of a working relationship with church B?

Ministry [04]

In Romans 12:7 it says, “Or ministry, let us wait on our ministering: or he that teacheth, on teaching.” My question would just be, what type of serving or to what capacity of serving should someone do if they have the gift of ministry? What is the gift of ministry?

Ministry [05] You said in the past that you don’t really concern yourself with the breadth of how God blesses the ministry through you and through this church, but your concern is in the depth of your ministry and your personal growth with God. I understand that and I just kind of wanted you to kind of expound a little bit more. What do you do to focus on the depth of your ministry and how do you balance this with the other many responsibilities that you have, including your relationship with your wife and family?
Ministry [06] Is there a place in the ministry to the flock for husbands, though godly are separated from their wives; they are seeking reconciliation; everything is really up and up, they are doing everything they can; through no wish of their own they are separated and the same for the wife who might be in that situation?  I can say that I went through the situation last Friday, the divorce was final. My life has been pure toward my wife, and that I know that through that situation the best times were when I was helping others. I was taken from my ministry, singing for children on Sunday mornings, and in that time it was really dry.
Ministry [07] Should a pastor who has committed adultery be restored to the ministry?
Ministry [08] My question refers to the passage in 1 Timothy chapter 3, and, it’s starting with verse 2. “An overseer, then, must be above reproach, the husband of one wife, temperate, prudent, respectable, hospitable, able to teach.” Skipping to 4, “He must be one who manages his own household well, keeping his children under control, with all dignity. But, if a man does not know how to manage his own household, how will he take care of the church of God?” Taking account a hypothetical situation, a man happens to be a Pastor and  is going through a divorce from his wife, and knowing that God hates divorce, does it conclude without question that this man does not have any right, to be up on that pulpit?
Miracles

Why did Jesus tell the leper He healed in Matthew 8:4 not to tell anybody?

Money

What does the Bible say about Christians investing their money in things over and above their needs in order to get out of paying taxes?

Morality

Has common-sense morality died?

Moral Majority

Can you make some comment about Jerry Falwell and the “Moral Majority”?

Motherhood
10/17/04

My question tonight is something I’ve been really, really wrestling with, is really been a real problem for me: balancing my time. Balancing my time. I’m a stay-at-home Mom, I was a home-schooling my son, and with all the responsibility as a wife, mom, home, everything, teaching my son, be a good steward, yet, my house is kind of out of order, and just all the responsibilities.

Movies

Is it wrong for someone such as a sign painter, a set builder, a vehicle driver, a camera operator, etc. to do their job on the movie that they know will, that they for sure know will show fornication, drunkenness, homosexuality, etc. in a positive light, even though their actual job in and of itself is not immoral? And lastly, what affect do you think it would have if all the Christians in the movie industry from secretaries to actors to set painters, etc., to directors, were to refuse to work on movies that promoted immorality?

Murder

Since God does not contradict Himself and God does not lie, God cannot lie. God says, “Thou shalt not lie.” How do you answer someone that says to you, God also says, “Thou shalt not kill.” And yet, God sometimes kills.

Music [01]

"In Romans 14:14, it says that nothing is unclean, and last Sunday you gave a lot of examples about cigarettes and all kinds of things.  I somewhat understand your perspective on rock music and different styles of rock music.  I don't know if I understand it totally, but as far as I understand that verse saying is when 'nothing is unclean,' that would consist in music too.  A certain beat, whether it would be a "rock" type beat or whatever, that in itself couldn't be wrong.  Am I correct?"

Music [02] I have a question about the Christian rock movement. Is Christian rock music non--biblical, and if so, is there any biblical proof?
Music [03] What is your stand on Contemporary Christian Music?  My main question would be in terms of where do you draw the line between basic rhythmic principles. The separation between “Rock ‘n Roll” and a rhythm that would tend to make you want to tap your foot?
Music [04] A couple of weeks ago a friend of mine [Keith Green] asked me to hear him play, he’s playing in Long Beach, and that night he did his music, he sang and almost 500 people were saved and from what I understand that our church does not allow that kind of music in our church and that is kind of a rock.

And plus, you know, right now I heard Cliff Richards the other night at the Greek Theater and I never heard a bigger praise, it was unbelievable and Donna Summers, Earth Wind and Fire, a group called Kansas, one of the heaviest rock n’ roll bands. I just feel that we have the most beautiful musical ministry that we could possibly have for these people, but I do feel sincerely inside there is so many people that we are not reaching, that I think we can reach if we put out more music that might reach them because some things might not, but the music can.

Music [05]

I have a question concerning Christian music. I have a lot of music that’s hard rock, and sometimes it’s hard to understand the words. You know you can if you listen a lot. I was wondering what the Bible has to say about Christian Hard Rock, and if it is wrong, are these bands that are doing this living in sin?
